How to let go…

How to let go…

Letting go of a situation or person that hurt you is easier said than done. I’ve always thought that I was supposed to just decide to let go and poof! It was done. So I’d beat myself up when I woke up the next day, and the feeling of anger and bitterness was still there. Why can’t I just let it go? Cos I thought that as soon as I decide to let it go. It’ll all go away. I’d be wiped clean with zero residues. That’s not the case at all.

Letting go is a  process. Its deciding every day, every hour, every minute, and every second that I will not let myself dwell on this negative thought that is hurting me. It’s admitting to yourself that “yes this hurts!” but I’m not going to spend my time meditating on the pain. The previous blog ” You are meditating on that? “touched lightly on the power of meditation. Rather meditate on what you’re grateful for, on scripture and whatever else floats your boat.

I hope this was helpful.

Let go, and let God…. meditate on the word of God. His word tells us to come to Him if we are weary, and He will give us rest. There is love, peace, joy and happiness in Christ. Through it all, I have learned to trust in Jesus.

He is the One who loves the inside and outside of you. You were all His idea, and you’re physically and emotionally beautiful to Him.
Psalm 45:10 -11 reads,”Listen, O daughter, consider and give me ear; Forget your people and your father’s house. The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor Him, for He is your Lord”.
There is no way you will ever get unnoticed with God. Emotionally connected. One-on-one.
